#THE BEGINNING

Arya was just a 7-year-old cute little girl. She loved her father more than anything else in the world. But her father had a job that kept him away from home for months. Once, when Arya was 7 years old, her father had to leave for an important work assignment for 6–7 months. Before leaving, he told Arya –

“My child, stay strong. It will take me some time to return. Do not call me, but send me a voice note every day. I will always reply to you.”  Arya nodded and promised to obey her father’s words. Every night, before sleeping, she sent her father a voice note – sharing her little   school stories, her dreams, her day with friends… and at the end, always one question –“Papa, when will you come back?” And her father always replied – “Just a few more days, my child. I will come soon.” But those “few days” never ended. Days turned into months, and months turned  into years.

This continued for 6 long years.

When Arya turned 12, it was her 12th birthday. But this time, Arya was very sad because her father had still not returned home.  Crying, she asked her mother –  “Mom, when will Papa come back? I want to go to him… why don’t you tell me  where he is?”

Her mother said something to Arya....................................... But Arya could not  believe it.

Crying, Arya went to her room and sent a voice note to her father saying –  “Papa, I am sending you this last voice note, and I have one request – please  come back soon…”  But this time, no reply came.  The next morning, Arya did not wake up. Her mother called out to her –  “Arya, wake up, it’s time for school.”  But Arya never woke up again.

She slept forever.

That birthday became her last birthday.

Because the night before, her mother had told Arya the truth –  “My child, your father is no longer in this world. When he left for 6 months and was  coming back, he met with a terrible accident… and he never returned.  And all these years, it was me who replied to your voice notes.”

Arya’s little heart broke into pieces after hearing the truth.  For 6 years she lived with the hope of seeing her father, and that hope was shattered in a moment.

And then, forever, she went to be with her father – in another world, where only  she and her papa were together.
